SWEET SOLITUDE
I woke up in my hut and it was already late…
I walked alone through the stenchy streets
Feeling the fire of penury, heat of sigh and sweet baby cry.
I smelt the pungent tobacco smoke and the
Song of folks that stopped my walk
I walked alone through the thick forest with
Yellow leaves spread on the ground.
The blue-green sight and snake-rat fight
The chirping - twittering filled my heart
I walked alone in the city with a sack
Felt the load of leading life
Found the crowd with cold heart and knife
Learnt that life there has no end or start
------Tired I was and I was lost
Sought out a claim to take me fast
The road was the same, from the city
To my hamlet through the forest
------The time was spent in chat and laugh
His heart was sweet, the load was off, but
I lost the blue-green forest sight
The chirping-twittering melody like lute
The yellow leaves and snake-rat fight
Didn’t smell the tobacco smoke
The song was dull, tired were the folk
Streets were clean, but mood wasn’t green
Nothing original there had been!
------I lost the joy of being alone,
The inner voice and eye within, and
The “SWEET SULITUDE” brought me all
I woke up again and walked alone
